The trial of a man accused of sexually exploiting and assaulting an 11-year-old girl collapsed yesterday.

The jury was discharged and the case was put back until the end of the present sessions of Cork Circuit Criminal Court, on November 27.

It is anticipated that the case will be further adjourned for a retrial some time in 2016.
