Public invited to offer thoughts on the future of Ireland and Europe at UCC
If you have an opinion, University College Cork might be looking for you.
UCC are looking to recruit 40 people to share their views on how they would like Ireland and Europe to develop over the next 20-30 years.
In December and January 1,000 people around Europe will meet to articulate their vision for the future of their country and Europe.
UCC will be part of the citizen consultation project and are inviting people in Ireland to meet at the Cork campus on December 4 to discuss their vision for a desired sustainable future in 20-30 years time.

The views from this meeting and others like it across Europe will be presented to scientists and policy-makers and act as a base line to develop future research programmes.
“You do not need any special knowledge in order to participate,” says Dr Ciara Fitzgerald, Department of Business Information Systems in UCC and organiser of the event.
"The idea is to bring the views of ordinary citizens to the decision makers.
"This is a great opportunity for people to think about what they want for the future of Ireland. It is a unique chance for citizens to influence the European research agenda in order to create a better society for us to live in.”
The project is part of CIMULACT, a three-year project funded by the European Commission that stands for Citizens and Multi-actor Consultation on Horizon 2020.
