Adele regrets meeting ‘idol’ Albarn

Adele has said she regrets meeting her “idol” Damon Albarn, after he called her insecure.

The 27-year-old singer, whose new single ‘Hello’ has topped the iTunes chart in 102 countries, suggested working with the Blur and Gorillaz frontman, only for the collaboration to turn sour when Albarn later told journalists that she was “insecure”. He also described her music as “middle of the road.”

She told Rolling Stone: “It ended up being one of those ‘don’t meet your idol’ moments. And the saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up. But it was sad, and I regret hanging out with him.”
