The bus driver who died after crashing in Waterford on Tuesday night was bringing a victorious camogie team home from a match.

The bus carrying the Cork Institute of Technology senior team crashed into a field at Grange, Ardmore, at approximately 10.10pm.

While the 29 passengers were uninjured, the driver, Seamus McCarthy, a Doneraile native in his 70s, died in hospital a few hours later.
