Floorer charged with robbery

A Limerick man with a flooring business in Co Tipperary was yesterday before Limerick District Court on charges of robbery and attempted robbery from four service stations in the Limerick area and two burglaries in Adare.

Det Garda Jerry O’Sullivan, Newcastle West, gave evidence of charging John Carroll, aged 49, of Clonshire, Adare, with attempted robbery at the Gala Shop, Larkin’s Cross, Ardnacrucha, on Monday while in possession of a firearm.

He also gave evidence of charging Carroll with robbery at the Applegreen service station at Coolnanoran, Rathkeale on October 2.
