Tidy Towns 2015: Killarney and Dublin make Trivago list
With a score of 89.41, Killarney came 100th in the Best Value Destination Index for 2016 by hotel comparison site Trivago.
The index combines hotel price data with aggregated user reviews and ratings, resulting in a list of 100 destinations where the hotels are described as affordable and highly rated.
The Trivago hotel price index shows the average overnight prices for a standard double room. The Best Value Index ranks cities and towns with 50 or more hotels, based on a combination of consumer reviews and average hotel prices with 100% being the top score.

Fenghuang in China was first in the index with a score of 98.01, and an average overnight hotel stay of €39.
It was followed by Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which scored 97.22 with overnight hotel rates averaging €50.
In third place came Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria with a score of 97.17 and rates at €41 a night. Novi Sad in Serbia was fourth, with Pingyao in China fifth.
Trivago has also released its list of 45 best value popular global cities for 2016.
First was Belgrade in Serbia, followed by St Petersburg and Moscow in Russia. Dublin was 25th in the list of best value cities worldwide.
