A mother who lost her son after an unprovoked attack is leading a fundraising drive to help the family of a Limerick man who died in the US as a result of a violent incident.

Jason Corbett, a father of two from Colbert Park in Janesboro, Co Limerick, died at his home in North Carolina on Sunday in what police say was a “domestic disturbance”.

He was found with head injuries after police were called to his home at Panther Creek, Wallburg.
