Drive for healthy public sector work practices

A campaign has been launched to encourage healthier work practices in the public sector.

Public sector companies and agencies, employing 15% of the total public sector workforce of almost 290,000 people, will be encouraged to make their workplace a healthier place and get staff to be more active.

Under the new plans, employers across the public sector will develop “healthy workplace” policies to support the health and wellbeing of their employees.
