VIDEO : Cork Midsummer Festival off to a colourful start

The Weekend kick off to a to the sound of beating drums and and a flashmob at the GPO in Cork City for the beginning of the Cork Midsummer Festival. 

The 2015 Midsummer Festival runs from this Friday 12th June to Sunday 14th June and then from Friday June 19 to June 21.

Friday night:

The Burning Quest by Inferno. 10pm. Venue: Elizabeth Fort. Spectacular fire show combining circus and pyromania. Free event, but it’s sold out.

Saturday:

PIG: 1-3pm and 4-6pm. Venue: Emmet Place. Giant inflatable pig with theatre inside. Great photo opp. See attached image. PIG will also be at Picnic in the Park. Free event.

Féasta 10am – 5pm Venue: Emmet Place. Festival market

Beyond by Circa. 8pm Sat and Sun. Venue: The Everyman. From Australia, the ‘rock stars of the circus world’ are providing one of the highlights of the festival.
