Plans to build a motorway between Limerick and Cork have been shelved due to a lack of funds .

POLL: Does the Limerick-Cork road need a motorway?

The National Roads Authority says a motorway would reduce the travelling time between the two cities to an hour and would limit congestion and accidents.

Is this something that cannot be just put off or would it be a waste of tax payers' money.
