The daughter of an Englishman convicted of murdering four people in separate incidents in Dublin and Roscommon in the 1990s has branded her father “a monster”.

Ella Porter, now aged 18, was just 10 months old when her father, Mark Nash, stabbed a sleeping man to death as she lay nearby in a house Ballintober, Co Roscommon, in August 1997.

Nash was last month found guilty of the murders of 59-year-old Sylvia Sheils and 61-year-old Mary Callinan in sheltered accommodation in Grangegorman, Dublin, in March 1997.
