Car sales move up a gear in first three months of year

Car sales are continuing to soar with sales up by almost a third in the first three months of the year.

According to a new report by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) and Done Deal, the strong trend of recovery seen in the motor industry last year has continued into 2015 with  new car registrations in the first three months of the year showing a 29.68% increase to reach 64,714.
