Kerry the hush-hush star attraction for TV shoot

A 70-strong cast and crew from the reality TV series The Bachelorettes has completed a hush-hush shoot here, which will be shown in the US during the summer.
The production team insisted on strict confidentiality from all people, including hotels, transport providers, and locations they dealt with while shooting in Dublin, Clare, and Kerry.
“We weren’t allowed open our mouths about them. They were really secretive,” said a Kerry bus driver.
They filmed at the Cliffs of Moher and spent several days in Kerry, at the likes of Innisfallen Island, Ross Island, and Muckross House and Gardens, in Killarney.
Scenes were also shot in some local restaurants. They hired taxis and minibuses to transport personnel and equipment.
The Bachelorettes has been a big hit on the ABC network, being watched by about 15m fans a week.
The show is another coup for Kerry, with scenes from the forthcoming Star Wars film shot around the breath-taking Skellig Michael last summer.
Director JJ Abrams, actor Mark Hamill, and other cast and production members were in South Kerry for the three-day shoot last July.
