Almost 1.5m trips were made to Ireland by overseas visitors in the first two months of the year, figures show.

In the region of 1.44m trips were made to Ireland between December 2014 and February of this year, according to the latest study by the Central Statistics Office.

This figure shows an increase of 10.3% on the corresponding period 12 months ago.
