Sex abuser was cleared to return to work

A Dublin care facility for people with severe disabilities cleared a staff member of any wrong-doing and allowed him return to work before his conviction for sexually abusing a woman with the mental age of three.

The 68-year-old staff member was caught molesting the victim and making her touch him. He denied the charge.

Yesterday, he was sentenced to four years in prison with the final two and a half suspended on conditions including that he have no contact with the victim.
