Greener lightbulbs - in any colour

Light bulbs that allow you to control the level, tone and even the colour of light are soon to be a feature in Irish homes.

According to researchers at the University of Limerick (UL), intelligent LED lighting systems will soon be found everywhere, from energy-efficient skyscrapers to the average home.

The research team at the Circuits and Systems Research Centre at UL are taking on the challenge to make light bulbs ‘smarter’, greener and more efficient using digital control.
