Grandad Drennan on song as he enlists eight little helpers for CD

When it was announced in 2012 that Clive Dunn of Dad’s Army television fame had died, it struck a note with former top showband singer Tommy Drennan.

The actor was also well known for his rendition of the hit song ‘Grandad’.

At the time of Dunn’s death one of Tommy’s sons, John, was preparing to emigrate from Limerick to New Zealand with his wife and young family.
