Revenue in talks with OPW to re-open courtyard for its Cork staff

The Revenue Commissioners has contacted the Office of Public Works about finding a way to allow its staff at its Cork HQ to use a courtyard in its building, following a previous security incident in which stones were thrown into it.

The Revenue building in Blackpool in Cork City has an interior courtyard, however staff have not been able to avail of it in recent years following the incident in which stones were thrown into it from a nearby green space.

The incident resulted in some strengthened glass being broken, and led to instructions to staff not to use the area.
