Pioneering UCC course confers certificate in living

Graduates of a university course have been celebrating their success, but many are already busy with further studies or supporting others who aim to follow in their footsteps.

The ceremony at University College Cork yesterday marked the end of a two-year journey for 20 men and women with intellectual disabilities towards the Certificate in Contemporary Living, which they received at a conferring ceremony yesterday afternoon.

But it is the ability to go and increase their qualifications and help others which was the big celebratoryaspect for students and staff.
