Shopping together is the most popular family activity, with outdoors excursion taking a back seat, it has emerged.

More than half (59%) of families consider shopping to be their number one family activity — more popular than going on a hike or walk (56%) and visits to the park (54%).

All in all, the survey by Aviva found that just 41% of families spend less than one hour a week being active together.
