Gardaí are investigating a crash in Cork City which left six people needing hospital treatment.

The two-car collision occurred at about 5am yesterday on the Commons Rd, at a junction near the Blackpool shopping centre.

There were three passengers and a driver in one of the vehicles, with two people in the second car. Gardaí said one of the vehicles flipped a number of times before coming to rest.
