A dispute over a hot dog and wine gums has cost a cinema complex a packet.

Hot dog and sweets row costs €20k

Adelphi Carlton Ltd, trading as Cineworld Cinemas in Dublin, has to pay a former employee €20,000 after it was found to have fired him unfairly.

Carl Meade had worked with the cinema group for three years before losing his job after buying the snacks at the complex on April 6, 2012.
