Varadkar and Reilly ‘must tell truth’ on HSE waiting lists

Health Minister Leo Varadkar and his predecessor Dr James Reilly have been urged to come clean on whether they knew HSE officials were faking hospital waiting list figures to give a false impression of reform.

Fianna Fáil has called on the cabinet members to confirm if they were aware of the situation in response to claims based on a leaked internal memo sent among HSE managers.

Details published in yesterday’s Sunday Business Post show the HSE is using a range of tactics to manipulate waiting list figures.
