A young couple on a social housing list for two years say they are really looking forward to raising their newborn daughter in their first home.

Shane Hickey, 21, his partner, Caoilfhinn O’Driscoll, 20, and their four-month-old daughter, Keisha, from Bandon in Co Cork, will be among the first residents of the Tannery when they move in within a fortnight.

They met Nama chairman, Frank Daly, in one of the houses yesterday as he made his first visit to a former ghost estate transformed under the new partnership between Nama and housing co-op, Nabco.
