Only two years since similar tragedy hit rural Cork town of Charleville

It is just over two years, almost to the day, since the tragic death of a child devastated the north Cork town of Charleville.

In July, Diane Ward, 44, was given a suspended prison sentence for smothering her eight-year-old son Anthony.

It happened at their home at Harrison Place in the town, less than a five-minute drive from Deerpark where the two boys’ bodies were found yesterday evening.
