Record list of buildings open doors for Cork heritage day

A record number of buildings in Cork City will unlock their doors for the 10th anniversary of Cork  Heritage Open Day.

Launched by poet and writer Theo Dorgan, Cork Heritage Open Day celebrates the unique built heritage of Cork, and enables young and old to explore the history of the city free of charge.

“This year, Cork Heritage Open Day will see more than 40 buildings open their doors for just one day,” said Cork City Council heritage officer Niamh Twomey.
