A record number of buildings in Cork City will unlock their doors for the 10th anniversary of Cork  Heritage Open Day.

A MEDIEVAL flashmob organised to highlight Cork’s origins as a town founded by Norwegian Vikings in 915AD was among the highlights of the city’s annual Heritage Day which took place on Saturday.

The Port of Cork will open its doors today as part of Cork Heritage Day.

Cork: The rooms of Custom House are to open to the public offering visitors the opportunity to view the boardroom and committee room as well as the collection of maritime artwork owned by the Port of Cork Company.
