Community studies on northside

The need on Cork City’s northside for more higher education provision has prompted a housing association to set up a community studies course.

The certificate programme due to begin in September at Respond’s housing scheme in Blackpool will be aimed at people who already work in a community setting, housing authority, or voluntary group, or those who wish to do so.

Completion of the eight-month course which carries a level 6 qualification could also provide a step for graduates towards study on related degree programmes.
