Fianna Fáil slams ‘crazy’ PRSI pay ‘anomaly’
Finance spokesman Michael McGrath has questioned Finance Minister Michael Noonan on the “pay anomaly” which, he said, could potentially impact up to 120,000 people earning between €17,000 and €20,000.
Mr Noonan said the “anomalous situation” arose due to the “step” effect in the PRSI system which brings all income into charge once the relevant threshold is reached.
