One in four resent going abroad for a wedding

It’s that sinking feeling when the gilt-edged card drops through the letter box and you realise that relative’s wedding is actually taking place on a tropical beach or Mediterranean village.

Almost one in four admit to feelings of resentment at having to take annual leave to travel aboard for a wedding, it has emerged.

However, only one in 10 thought it was inconsiderate of friends and family to have a wedding abroad.
