Gardaí arrest man in Bulgaria

An Irish man arrested by gardaí in Bulgaria has been charged with threatening to kill a witness in an ongoing Garda investigation.

Vincent Collopy, aged 35, originally from St Ita’s St, St Mary’s Park, Limerick, was arrested yesterday under a European arrest warrant.

Gardaí escorted Mr Collopy — who had left Ireland in 2010 — on board a flight to Dublin Airport which landed at 3am yesterday.
