9/11 survivor says visiting museum will be too painful

Ron Clifford, from Cork, who himself was caught up in the atrocity on September 11, 2001, said he is still struggling to come to terms with the deaths of his sister Ruth McCourt, 45, and her four-year-old daughter, Juliana. Both Ruth and Juliana were passengers aboard the United Airlines flight, which was the second to crash into the Twin Towers on that fateful day.

Now, nearly 13 years after the terrorist attacks which killed almost 3,000 people, a €700m memorial museum is about to open its doors to the public.
