Water charges to be outlined today

Proposals on how homeowners are charged for using water and the payment options for users are expected to be published today.

The Government will also discuss water charges when a memo is presented to Cabinet by Environment Minister Phil Hogan.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said that any amount in free allowances or subventions for households would be influenced by the size of a family and if there were any medical needs.
