Support for the Government parties has been damaged by its handling of controversies surrounding the administration of justice, an opinion poll indicates.

Fine Gael’s popularity has suffered most, dropping by five points to 25% — putting it level with its main opposition rival, Fianna Fáil, up by three points.

Labour is down one point to 8%, according to The Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll of 1,000 people taken on Monday and Tuesday.
