Dublin band Kodaline will be performing in front of approximately 15 million viewers on the results show of tonight's American Idol.

The group are currently on tour in the US and announced the news on their Facebook page this week.

They will be playing their single 'All I Want' from debut album In A Perfect World.

In just three months, the track has almost racked up 100,000 copies sold and the accompanying music video has been viewed over 1.5 million times on Youtube.

The quartet were recently nominated for Meteor's Choice Music Prize and also won Best Album, Best Track of the Year (High Hopes) and Best Debut Album in the Hot Press Hotties.
