And cut... youth film festival opens in Youghal

The fifth First Cut! Youth Film Festival was launched in the Town Hall, Youghal last night by Kilnaskully actor Pascal Scott.

“First Cut! is the only pop-up youth film festival in the country,” says co-ordinator Mary McGrath, who expects up to 500 young people to participate over the three days of the event.

School groups from Galway, Leitrim, Dublin and Wexford will attend, as well as representatives of the three colleges where film is taught in Cork: UCC, CIT and St John’s College.
