Mayor to honour excellence in community

People who have excelled in helping their communities could be nominated for awards at a ceremony to take place in Cork in April.

The Mayor of County Cork’s Community Awards ceremony will take place in April, at which 11 groups or individuals will receive their awards.

This is the second year the awards have been presented, but the ceremony will take place earlier this year because the council wants to host it in advance of the local elections.
