Dean Fitzpatrick inquest adjourned

Gardaí are still awaiting instructions from the DPP in relation to the death of Dean Fitzpatrick, Dublin Coroner’s Court heard.

The 23-year-old father of one from Clarehall in Dublin 13 was fatally injured when he was stabbed during an altercation at the Burnell Square apartments, Northern Cross, on the Malahide road on May 25 last year. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Updating the coroner on the investigation into the death, Det Insp Tony Howard said that gardaí submitted a file for consideration by the DPP last November.
