IDA accused of focusing investor visits on cities

The IDA has been accused of neglecting counties outside of city centres by bringing huge numbers of potential investors to places such as Dublin and Cork but few if any to other locations.

In 12 of the 26 counties, the IDA brought five or fewer potential investors in 2012 and 2013.

The most neglected county was Longford, which received no visits over the two years, while Leitrim, Meath and Monaghan had just one visit.
