Woman killed in Kerry crash

A 47-year-old woman died in a single vehicle crash outside Killarney, Co Kerry, yesterday. The crash occurred when the grey Ford Fiesta she was driving went out of control at around 12.20pm in the townland of Ballydowney.

The woman’s eight-year old daughter was in the car and was removed by ambulance to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee, where she is being treated for injuries.

The woman, who was Irish, is understood to have been married to a Dutch man. They lived in the Killorglin area.
