‘Committed criminal’ sentenced to 15 years

A “committed criminal” described as a serious risk to society has been sentenced to 15 years for a variety of offences including a meat cleaver attack and dangerous driving causing serious harm.

‘Committed criminal’ sentenced to 15 years

Patrick Healy, aged 29, of Buttercup Park, Darndale, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal to dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to Marion Osbourne on Oscar Traynor Rd, Coolock, unauthorised taking of a car, and driving while under the influence on May 21, 2013.

He also pleaded guilty to assaulting Constantine Florea causing him harm on North Circular Rd on Apr 22, 2011.

Healy admitted burglary and theft at Upper Kilmacud Rd, unlawfully taking a car, and dangerous driving on the M50 on Dec 12, 2011.

He was on bail for each of the offences when he committed the next.
