Reilly to seek third health bailout

Health Minister James Reilly is tomorrow expected to seek approval from cabinet colleagues for another bailout for his spending — his third since becoming minister.

The supplementary budget could be in the order of €200m. The request comes ahead of the imminent publication of cuts and spending for health under next year’s service plan.

Sources said Mr Reilly is expected to bring the supplementary budget to Cabinet tomorrow.
