Man hid a stolen beer keg in wheelie bin

A man who scaled the wall of Heineken brewery and stole a keg of beer used a wheelie bin for his getaway with the stolen drink.

Anthony Carmody yesterday received a four-month sentence for the theft.

Insp Mary King yesterday told the court that Garda Martin Butler encountered Carmody pushing a blue wheelie bin on Upper John St, Blackpool, Cork. at 6.30am on Mar 3.
