Cork’s Kent rail station busiest in the country outside Dublin

Cork’s Kent Station is the only railway station outside Dublin to feature in the top 10 in terms of rail passenger movements, a rail census conducted by the National Transport Authority reveals.

The station is ranked as the sixth busiest in the country with around 6,350 passengers departing and arriving on a daily basis.

The country’s five busiest stations are Connolly, Pearse, Heuston, Tara St and Dún Laoghaire, according to the 2012 Rail Census.
