LinkedIn welcomes millionth Irish member to network

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, has racked up 1m Irish members.

The networking giant, which employs more than 400 people at its international headquarters in Dublin, confirmed its millionth Irish member yesterday and said members in this country are some of the most engaged in the world for LinkedIn.

Sharon McCooey, the company’s head of international operations, said reaching 1m Irish members was “an important milestone” for LinkedIn.
