Gardaí criticise ‘mindless’ school arson attack

Vandals could have jeopardised the education of hundreds of pupils, a board member of a West Cork school has said.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an arson attack that caused thousands of euro worth of damage at Mary Immaculate College in Dunmanway on Sunday.

It is believed the perpetrators of the attack set fire to a wheelie-bin at the rear of the school.
