The father of a teenager beaten to death in an un-provoked attack, has written to Alan Shatter begging him to help get justice for his murdered son.

Alan Hannan from Limerick City, said his son, Jeffrey, 19, was “as innocent as Roy Collins and Shane Geoghegan”, but no one has been charged with the brutal killing nearly six years ago.

Mr Hannan has now written to the justice minister to highlight the case. “If this was gangland-related, it would have been solved,” he said.
