18% success rate for those who appealed exam result
The rise from 559 appeals against honours results last year to 681 is revealed as the State Examinations Commission (SEC) gives 8,192 students who appealed one or more of their grades this year news of the outcome today.
The overall number of upgrades is 1,637 out of 9,100 individual grades appealed, or an 18% success rate. This compares slightly poorer than last year, when 19% of those who asked for their papers to be re-examined were successful.
