Truck drivers remanded for 2 days

Three articulated truck drivers have been remanded in custody for two days at a Garda station following a complaint from a member of the public about a YouTube video in which they drove their huge trucks three abreast along the main Limerick to Tralee road last year.

Two Polish men and one Irishman, all employees of McAuliffe Trucking of Castleisland, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving in what district court Judge James O’Connor described as a “scandalous” incident, regardless of the charitable motive involved.
