City pharmacy staff receive a helping hand as robot dispenses medicine

A hi-tech robot has started work dispensing medicine in a Cork pharmacy.

The state-of-the-art system was installed in Broderick’s Chemist in Barrack St during a major store face-lift to give staff a mechanical helping hand.

Pharmacy owner and head pharmacist, Barry Broderick, said the German Consis B system has transformed the way he and his staff interact with customers.
